Reed Colchester are delighted to be recruiting a Part-Time Shop Display Assistant on a Perm Contract to work in the Colchester area for a family owned business, supplying a range of machinery including garden mowers, as well as a huge selection of clothing and DIY products. The store located in Colchester where you would be working is one of many across the country.

Hours: 25 to 30 hours per week from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday with additional hours on a Saturday as required on a rota basis.

Contract: Permanent, Part-time, hourly paid

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Parts and Showroom Manager you will be responsible for assisting with the operational needs of the clothing section at the Colchester Branch.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Ability to maintain stock levels in showroom as well as general housekeeping.
• Ensuring products are accurately priced, tagged and displayed.
• Stock checking of goods and products
• Accuracy with numbers and handling of cash/card transactions and generating point of sales invoices etc.
• Unloading and loading of deliveries as required.
• Packing of goods.
• Communicating efficiently and effectively with all internal based staff, manufacturers, suppliers and customers via face to face, telephone or email.
• Providing efficient, effective and friendly customer service.
• Excellent people skills and enjoying working with members of the public.
• Experience in working in a busy environment and coping under pressure during busy periods.
• Previous experience of working in a retail environment with showroom experience desirable.
• Motivated by sales and targets.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Smart and presentable appearance.
