We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sales & Waste Statistical Specialist to join our team, based at our head office in Cheddar. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis, working 3 days per week, 9am - 5pm and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP28,000 per annum (pro rata) plus benefits.

About the role:
We are on a journey of becoming a Data Driven Business and you will be at the forefront of this transformation.
This role will be critical in providing insights required to strategically steer the business. You will be guiding the development of commercial strategy, NPD and promotional plan, and field force prioritisations. You will also be the experts and go-to-person for the business to understand end-to-end margins for all stakeholders, promotional performance, NPD ROI, waste impact, return per linear metre, time of day, channel specific sales profile as well as supplier performance and spending.
Responsibilities of our Sales & Waste Statistical Specialist:
Data cleansing and system maintenance (20%)
Process raw data from various sources and sensing checking data quality
Import processed data into various systems (e.g. SAP) and databases (e.g. Margin Tracker)
Work with Field Team Administrator to ensure site related information is up to date in all system/databases
Regular reporting (50%)
Produce sales performance reports for shell UK and CEE on a weekly basis
Conduct performance tracking for NPD activities and major range/format/planogram changes
Support Finance reporting by producing BRT report on a monthly basis
Provide Business Insights Manager with the data required to produce site performance reports
Ad-hoc analysis and reporting (20%)
Provide analytical support to internal and external stakeholders
Develop reports for ad-hoc projects
Continuous improvement (10%)
Always challenge the status quo and look for more efficient ways of working
Review reports and identify opportunities for automation (and automate via Netsuite)
Continuous working on improving 'user experience' by reducing the report size and the time required to refresh/run the report
Review the reporting structure on a quarterly basis and suggest opportunities for consolidating reports to improve efficiency
What we're looking for in our Sales & Waste Statistical Specialist:
Essential
Educated to a university level standard
Full driving license
Desirable
VBA certification
SQL certification
Experience
Experience working with Excel to develop user friendly reports
Proven experience utilizing databases and ERP packages (SAP, Netsuite)
Experience providing professional, accurate analytical reporting and data to a variety of internal and external customers
Skills
Expert MS Excel user, VBA capability would be an advantage.
Able to easily utilize ERP packages such as SAP or Netsuite
Good mathematical skills and ability to quickly sense check reporting for errors
High level of attention to detail
Commercial acumen with an understanding of key P&L elements.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with key internal and external stakeholders
Understanding of statistical modelling and forecasting
Team player and willing to go the extra mile to support the business
Stronger performer under tight deadlines and able to effectively prioritise
Committed to continuous improvement including self-learning
Understanding the complexity around the management short shelf life products
