Summary
*Female Personal Assistant required for a lady who has a brain injury following a stroke, she lives in the London, NW11 area.

The role involves a combination of rehabilitation and support, thus enabling the client to lead a fulfilling life as possible, maximising their physical and psychological wellbeing. The successful applicant will assist our client by enabling and supporting their access into the community, such as support with shopping and escorting her to outings and medical appointments.

You will work alongside treating therapists to provide an active programme of support to include a range of activities. In addition, you will support her emotionally to ensure her mental and physical well-being.

You will be confident, creative and self-motivated in assisting and planning activities.

The successful applicant must respect the need for confidentiality when the individual or their family communicate matters of a personal nature.

Working hours: 20 hours a week, made up of 5 x 4 hour shifts.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible and who can work in a team. You must also be responsible, trustworthy and reliable.

Rates of pay: GBP15.00 per hour.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training. Good IT skills are essential.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
