Summary
Personal assistant with some experience of supporting disabled adults. Job requires provision of a full full range of personal care support to a severely disabled adult living in her own home. Client requires assistance with personal care and At home lives in one room so there is some practical support with day to day living - from support to sitting comfortably using specialist equipment to assistance with dressing to supporting with use of supportive technology,planning menus and cooking, assistance with correspondence and paperwork. A key part of the role is in supporting client to engage in social activities, to feel included in her extended family, to support with hospital and other medical appointments and to be an advocate for her inclusion in the life of the community. Staff may be expected to accompany her to training sessions about her condition . Applicants must be able to work as a member of a large team of support staff and ability to drive is an asset though would not exclude consideration.
