Personal Assistant

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucester

The Role: To be part of a small team delivering person centred care and support in the home environment for a man with a spinal cord injury which has left him tetraplegic.

Main duties:
• To understand and respond to care needs.
• To understand and respond to health needs.
• To understand and respond to personal preferences.
• All aspects of Personal Care including catheter care.
• To deliver all care in a personalised and person centred way.
• To use a hoist.
• Will also be required to cover for colleagues in leave and sickness, and on occasions work extra hours, agreed in advance.

Shifts available: Alternate Sundays - Midweek mornings and evenings.

Salary: GBP12.00 per hour.

Holidays: 5.6 weeks per year (pro rata) including Bank holidays.

Subject to DBS check and references.

Part-time.
