Female Personal Assistant position - Job Share - Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: GBP10, 262 per year plus paid overtime

Contract: Actively working 'on duty' for 3.5 consecutive days and overnights, followed by 3.5 days 'on call' acting as first reserve for emergencies and planned long-distance travel, followed by three weeks completely off per four weeks.

An opportunity has become available to join a team of Personal Assistants (PAs) directly employed by a young professional disabled woman based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role includes providing physical assistance for your employer to live independently in her own home and to undertake her demanding yet rewarding role at a large environmental campaigning organisation, with frequent travel across the UK and occasionally Europe.

The posts are best suited to friendly, respectful and open-minded individuals who can provide attentive yet unobtrusive physical assistance. The role is a job share and best suited to someone without set shifts at another job, who likes to work hard when they are on shift and enjoy their three weeks paid leave per month.

When you are on duty you will be based at the employers home as well as travelling with her for work and leisure. You will be able to sleep during the night when on duty. Your 'on-call' time will be spent at your own home or place of your choosing, as long as you can reach Newcastle upon Tyne within 4 hours and are under the drink-drive limit.

Applications are encouraged from people both with and without prior Personal Assistant or social care experience.

Closing date: 7th January 2022
