About the job Summary

The FSA is a non-ministerial department of over 1300 people, with a big vision – to drive change in the food system so that it delivers “food we can trust”. Our primary goal is to continue to protect public health and consumers’ wider interest in food. As we have now exited the EU the FSA faces a significant period of change and activity.

The FSA puts a great deal of focus on supporting its staff to help them develop and do their very best work. As well as being a progressive Agency that promotes a healthy work/life balance, we also like to use the same science-based and evidence-led philosophy that guides our work to uncover the best ways to improve our output and ensure everybody is given the best chance to succeed.

Job description

The HR Business Analyst is a high-profile role at the heart of the Agency’s efforts to develop and support their teams, leading our efforts to draw valuable insights out of our people data so that we can make strategic decisions that are guided by evidence.

Uncovering the best methods to provide the range and types of data that the business requires, the post holder will seek to build our data analysis capabilities, implementing tools and technology that will support our needs and enable the most piercing of insights.

Through the introduction of innovative analytical techniques, the successful candidate will shape the approach our HR teams take to analysis, digging up vital trends and identifying potential challenges so that we are able to better support the business in offering the people support that is needed in ways that will make a tangible difference.
