Job Description

We are currently presenting an exciting opportunity for a Senior Treasury Analyst with at least demonstrable experience to join our Treasury team which sits within the CFO of Inmarsat’s business. As part of a small team there will opportunities to learn and develop across the breadth of corporate treasury activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary ownership for the Treasury Management System (‘TMS’) and associated projects, such as TMS selection, implementation, reporting, maintenance and upgrades such that it is fit for purpose.
  • Responsibility for accurate reporting of intra-group lending in the TMS, for all supporting documentation and for making sure interest payments are paid on the due date or are capitalised.
  • Regular monthly monitoring and reporting of all intra-group loans and deposits against the documented facility limits.
  • Supporting the Assistant Treasurer and Financial Operations team with intercompany projects, such as dividends or capitalisations of group companies as required
  • To identify any Treasury process gaps and help improve Treasury processes.
  • Responsibility for the regular compliance reporting and certifications of the Group’s indebtedness as per the Group’s Credit Facilities (covenant compliance)
  • Prepare and help improve monthly management reporting for Treasury.
  • Help to develop best practice in group working capital management and any associated projects.
  • To develop strong partnerships between Treasury and the business units and other Group Finance Teams.
  • Working with external and internal auditors to provide answers to any Treasury requests narrative or analysis required.
  • Provide Treasury support on a variety of ad-hoc business and Treasury projects, as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working within an international corporate treasury environment essential
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and a self-starter with a desire to play a key role in a high performing team
  • Very high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Global cash management experience including bank account maintenance
  • Extensive experience of electronic banking platforms
  • Foreign currency trading including confirmations & settlement – Bloomberg experience required
  • Experience of SAP as both ERP system and TMS
  • Treasury Management System experience
  • Experience of investing surplus cash to optimise returns
  • Understanding of corporate debt including drawdowns and covenant reporting (preferred)
  • Experience of intercompany loans and documentation
  • Comfortable with developing bank and other stakeholder relationships
  • Experience of and enthusiasm for process improvement projects – able to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate changes.
