We are recruiting for a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer, for a newly created role in our group IT team.

Amey has invested heavily in new technology over the last 12 months and as our Senior Endpoint Security Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day security of our Endpoint estate (9000+) and specifically, provide expertise and advice for Microsoft Defender. You will assess our current usage, design solutions and provide mentoring to internal teams; all with a focus on making our security solutions user friendly for our Amey workforce. This is an opportunity for someone with experience working with Microsoft defender, perhaps in a smaller business, to really hone its implementation across a large, matrix organisation.

Please note - you will need to be able to pass both BPSS and SC checks.

What will this role involve?

• To act as third line support for all Security related incidents across a multi-domain/multi-site organisation.
• Responsible for the administration of Microsoft Defender ATP for the Endpoint Estate, anti-virus definitions and compliance.
• Within Defender configure automation, investigation and response.
• Lead on the Design and Implementation of Security Policies for Defender ATP
• Administration of SCCM, Intune and EndPoint Manager Admin Centre to maintain the Security of the End User Estate - patch management and compliance.
• Determine security patching updates through planning, configuring and testing
• Assist in the design, planning, implementation and optimisation of Amey Technical Infrastructure to maintain the Security of the Endpoint Estate.
• Provide Security reporting, presentation material and event monitoring to Senior Stakeholders.
• Act as a Point of Contact for the business to determine their Security requirements and deliver them.
• Liaise with External Partners to determine Security road maps.
• Assist with bringing new technologies forward from complex to a day to day maintenance activity
• Liaise and work closely with Customers/Team Members to ensure incidents and requests are resolved to customer satisfaction and within SLAs.
• Liaise and work closely with clients to ensure technical solutions are implemented and are fit for purpose
• Provide advice to management on technical systems as required

What are we looking for?

• Experience of designing implementing, administering and troubleshooting McAfee MVision and Microsoft Defender antivirus technologies
• Experience of designing and implementing security policies for both McAfee and Defender
• Scripting Skills (Vbscript and Powershell)
• Experience of designing, implementing, administering and troubleshooting Microsoft EndPoint Manager Admin Centre to manage the security of our End Point Estate
• Experience of using Soti MobiControl and Intune to manage Android devices.
• Experience of Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory
• Demonstrable experience of Change Process - including reviewing and approving changes, including risk priority, test, regression, roll back, communication and documentation plans
• Experience of working within an SLA driven ITIL-orientated environment
• Understanding of McAfee EPO and Defender Policies
• Strong technical skills including a demonstrable ability to assimilate and apply both technical and business process knowledge in troubleshooting situations
• Customer centric with a desire to provide a high level of service to our users
• Strong analytical and investigation skills with ability to resolve issues in a high pressure and time critical environment
