Are you intellectually curious, analytical, process orientated and able to work effectively with a wide group of global stakeholders to deliver high quality outputs? If you want to be part of an established, fast growing global asset manager, there is an opportunity for an experienced analyst to join the Real Assets division within Macquarie Asset Management, focusing on infrastructure.

As an analyst, you will join the central executive team for the Macquarie Global Infrastructure Fund, based in London but part of a broader global team. This executive team works across the entire investment lifecycle of the fund such as defining deployment plans and overall portfolio strategy, assessing acquisition opportunities, and ongoing fundraising.

Your responsibilities will require you to:

  • Work as part of deal teams on asset acquisitions. Build, run and review detailed financial models and associated analysis for potential acquisitions and the ongoing fund portfolio performance
  • Conduct research on sector themes, growth opportunities and global trends
  • Work with senior investment professionals to develop the strategic direction of the fund, analyse portfolio construction, monitor financial and operational performance
  • Prepare portfolio analysis such as cashflow planning, scenario analysis and future performance outlook
  • Assist in fundraising through preparation of presentations and investor materials on asset acquisitions and portfolio performance

Experience working within the broader infrastructure sector, knowledge of infrastructure funds and managers, investment banking or strategy consulting will be beneficial in this role.

You will have strong numeracy and financial modelling skills, be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of corporate finance, be well organised and with an eye for detail. You will be degree educated in a relevant subject.

You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, You will be a proactive and resilient individual possessing strong interpersonal skills which will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

An ability to think laterally, independently problem solve, drive initiatives and project manage, while working cohesively as part of a larger team, are all key characteristics required for this role. A high level of IT literacy with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills is necessary.
