Support Worker

We have a number of exciting opportunities for fixed and flexible staff to join us in 2 supported living services for adults with learning disabilities and autism in Islington.

Our client has been providing high-quality support and care services to vulnerable people for more than 40 years in London and has grown from strength-to-strength.

Role: Support Worker

Location: Islington & Hackney

Salary: £21,497 per annum pro rata (£10.85 per hour)

Contract: 1 Fixed 38 Hour per week, 1 part time role AND flexible Zero hours contracts

About the role:

As a Support Worker you will support people with their day to day life, to learn new skills and develop confidence and independence and to have a good quality of life. You will support with daily living tasks, activities and making full use of community opportunities. Every day is different as a support worker; you might be swimming, socialising, or supporting someone to find a college, learn to hoover, or work their laptop... but whatever you do, the people we support are always at the heart of your working day.

About you:

Do you have the enthusiasm and positivity to actively support people to achieve their outcomes supporting them to live a good and meaningful life?

You will however, need to bring with you the following skills:

• You will share the values of Enabling, Empowering and Engaging
• Experience of providing sensitive, person-centred support to vulnerable adults
• Experience of team work
• Good IT skills
• Patient, understanding and caring
• Vibrant, enthusiastic and fun

• Able to communicate with different people using a variety of approaches
