Are you a Compliance Specialist looking to become a trusted advisor to our Macquarie Capital business?

As a Manager in our Compliance team you will be aligned to the Macquarie Capital operating group in London.

In this role you will have an excellent opportunity to further develop your compliance experience in a dynamic, commercial and fast-paced environment.  Our Macquarie Capital business includes the private side activity of corporate finance advisory and principal investment, as well as the public side equities business.

The role will provide you with a broad involvement in compliance issues and regular interaction with senior management and executives across Macquarie Capital and the Risk Management Group in EMEA.

Your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Advising on compliance implications for specific transactions, new products and businesses.
  • Reviewing principal investments ahead of sign-off, documenting the assessment of regulatory considerations.
  • Providing advice and managing/tracking cross-border licensing requirements post-Brexit.
  • Contributing to the success of the team by identifying ongoing areas of enhancement and driving continuous improvement to ensure that an effective compliance environment is maintained.
  • Developing and delivering training to provide the business with clarity regarding compliance responsibilities.
  • Assisting with responses to regulators or queries from exchanges and trading venues.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the key compliance risks, and a pragmatic approach to ensuring that these are controlled effectively in a highly commercial environment.    If you have the ability to think strategically, problem solve and escalate where necessary, with continuous support and guidance from the wider team we would like to hear from you.  Come and join a team where you will have continuous engagement with our stakeholders and have the opportunity to learn and grow…apply now!

Company

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
