Are you an exceptional communicator with the ability to make things happen? Want to be part of a small team with a hunger to improve? Do you want to use your skills to make a difference? Are you looking for a flexible role where you can make a huge impact?  This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic not-for-profit membership organisation, to lead our content and communications. We inspire, accelerate and connect the world’s smartest marketers – and we need someone to help us do that more clearly, compellingly and consistently.

This role will lead the strategic direction and execution of all content and communication across the business.

We’re looking for someone who can help us with effective and impactful communications which will help
i) Ensure our existing Members feel connected, engaged and proud to be part of the organisation and

ii) Attract & acquire new Members

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Working alongside the team and our writers and content creators, you’ll be responsible for delivering inspirational content to our members that helps accelerate marketing leadership and helps members do well in their career and do good for their brands, business and society. You will also be responsible for the roll-out of our new content strategy developed with our agency Cedar around the positioning ‘We move marketing forwards’ (Member-led, dynamic and useful marketing and leadership content which helps people make an impact and make a difference).

You’ll lead the direction for all our communications with Members across different channels (email, WhatsApp, web, social and Guild), helping make sure they are meaningful, relevant, and clear. This position will sit within our Leadership Team with responsibility for the performance and success of content and communication across the business, as well as being part of the decision-making group within the organisation.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT YOU IF:

  • You are confident in working independently; someone with a drive to make things happen at pace and doesn’t need to be in an office or micro-managed – a supremely organised ‘finisher’.
  • You are a team player, bringing people together and inspiring people to get things done. This is a culture where we share ideas together and believe that the ‘whole is greater than the sum of the parts’ when it comes to working in squads and teams.
  • You love words. We are looking for someone who can write and edit everything from reports to tweets (you will be supported by a global communication manager, marketing assistant and a social media lead, as well as content contributors).
  • You are a curious person, someone who enjoys helping others learn about the world of business, leadership and marketing, and helping others develop their skills. An interest in/knowledge of the world of marketing is desirable (but not essential).
  • You are a thinker and a connector, with the strategic ability and the leadership skills to join up and align different people and projects
  • You want to be part of a small team with big ambitions. There’s huge flexibility in the role (hours and location flexible) with a fun, supportive – and, we think, rather lovely - team of 20 others to work with. We want to make a real impact in 2022 and we’d love someone who is keen to make a difference in this role.
