We are looking for a senior data analyst/scientist to join Sky's audience insight team covering an exciting area of TV. Analysing customer behaviour and viewing/streaming trends for TV series & movies as well as providing insight that directly affects acquisition decisions and development of new shows for Sky TV. If you love discussing your favourite shows on TV whilst working with huge industry leading datasets to answer content questions then this role is for you.

What you'll do:
  • Produce useful insights, analysis and reports covering all aspects of content from viewing of TV series & movies to acquisition strategy & recommissioning decisions
  • Establish new ways of working and standard methodologies on new/existing data sources, including internally sourced customer big data as well as self-created and industry datasets
  • Manage projects end to end from briefing with senior stakeholders to delivery of the "so what", providing views on trends and forecasts as a subject matter expert
  • Regularly present data-driven reporting and insights to partners and at wider team forums
  • Prioritise big projects and ad-hoc requests creatively, looking for opportunities to create self-serve solutions
What you'll bring:
  • Established experience in insight roles, preferably in the TV/Media landscape
  • Advanced skills in data analysis languages (e.g. Python, SAS, R, SQL) and the ability to interrogate big data structures (GCP Big Query, AWS or equivalent knowledge ideal)
  • Experience processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Proven ability working with senior stakeholders whilst managing & prioritise workloads
  • Ability to visualise and clearly communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audience
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in applied quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, engineering, technology)
