**Rejoin Opportunity** Senior Analyst – Credit Risk – International Bank HQ in London (3 days office based, 2 remote) Flexible working hours

Job Purpose

The role is for a Lead Business Analyst who specialises in counterparty credit risk within the Risk & Finance Technology team to support run-the-bank (RTB) initiatives, assisting with user queries and where necessary, the remediation of production issues pertaining to the data feeds or the credit systems The role would also require supporting various strategic business initiatives and regulatory project implementations within the credit
risk systems, from inception to implementation. The holder of the role will liaise with business units across the bank, including but not limited to Technology, Risk Analytics, Credit Risk and Global Markets
 
The Business Analyst will be involved in gathering requirements, delivering
documentation and working closely with developers during the implementation lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities     Analysis and Solution Definition:  

  • Rapidly understand the business objectives, issues and challenges.  
  • Liaise with relevant teams to define and document business requirements,  
  • functional specifications, business processes and recommendations related to  
  • proposed solution.  
  • Communicate required changes to development team (in-house and vendor).  
  • Testing:  
  • Undertake testing efforts and act as primary liaison between users and project  
  • teams.  
  • Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely  
  • manner.  
  • Project Execution:  
  • Act as a domain SME, support project initiatives with regards to requirements  
  • and testing.  
  • Manage team deliverables and ensure adherence to project deadlines and  
  • schedules.  
  • Communicate and apply project standards and industry best practices.  
  • Consistently deliver high-quality output.  
  • User Support:  
  • Investigate queries from business users (credit managers and front office) with  
  • regards to system workflow, credit risk exposure calculation/limit management  
  • and relevant technology processes.  
  • Keep users updated about potential changes coming into the system and  
  • relevant impacts to business processes.  
  • Change Management and Production Support:  
  • Assist team in change management process (e.g. attend Change Management  
  • board, coordinate change approval process) when required.  
  • Perform support to certain change activities (e.g. releases or Disaster Recovery)  
  • when required.  
  • Resource Management and Task Prioritisation  
  • Manage junior BAs in the team and allocate tasks among team members.  
  • Keep track of team activities and progresses, provide updates in relevant  
  • meetings.  
  • Assist RTB Manager in resource planning activities.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience  

  • A strong, proven track record of project business analyst delivery in the financial  
  • services industry with the ability to:  
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas  
  • for improvement and developing and implementing solutions.  
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users and deal with  
  • colleagues at all levels of seniority.  
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and  
  • producing high quality project documentation:  
  • Business requirements  
  • Functional specifications  
  • Test cases / scripts  
  • Business operating models and processes  
  • Lead and conduct testing with a strong focus on efficient and automated testing:  
  • Test case definition  
  • System integration testing  
  • User acceptance testing  
  • Exposure comparisons  
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.  
  • Strong knowledge of traded products, counterparty credit risk exposure  
  • framework and calculations.  
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, MS Office, SQL, XML, jira, continuous deployment  
  • frameworks.
