Responsibilities
 

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the playout chains and live events for Eurosport and Nordic channels as well as supporting the base band portion of our 175+ Linear Discovery Cloud based channels across EMEA. Eurosport is currently in a new technology transformation for all countries in Europe based on on-prem and cloud architecture.

The London and Paris teams manage the engineering and support of two playout centres and all markets in Europe for Eurosport.

The Production Support Engineer is part of the Broadcast engineering team providing engineering and level 1 support for production, playout, MAM and Post-Prod platforms. This role is based in Chiswick Park, London working on a 24/7 shift pattern.

The ideal candidate will be an organised and skilled Production Support Engineer, who represents the very best of our Broadcasting Profession.


Qualifications
 

  • Strong understanding of the broadcast chain
  • Offers outstanding troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to fault find from first principles.
  • Excels in a high pressure and time critical broadcast production environment
  • Extensive Broadcast technical background (IP video 2110, AES 67, NMOS, video and audio
  • formats and codec…)
  • Good understanding of IT technologies and the associated challenge (network, virtualization, storage, cloud services, security…)
  • Capacity to work in a constantly changing environmen
  • Strong team member with self-motivation and consistent customer service
