Chief People Office

Inmarsat’s Chief People Office (CPO) comprises a HR Business Partnering function who deliver people services with the support of the Centres of Excellence – Reward, Resourcing, HR Services & Systems, Organisational Effectiveness & Engagement & Communication and Real Estate & Facilities.  Our purpose is twofold; to drive business performance and enabling our people to be brilliant.

Job Description

Primary role purpose:

This role will report into the Global Head of Real Estate and will sit within the real estate and facilities department which reports into the Chief People Office. The team is global with majority sitting in London and is responsible for all Inmarsat properties, the facility management and health and safety within them. 

The primary function of the role is to ensure the real estate and facility projects run smoothly, which could vary from office refurbishments to full office moves or closures and the role will be varied on a day to day basis.

A typical day is never the same but consists of coordinating the schedule, reviewing budgets and any impacts, risk analysis, reporting and ensuring the projects stay on track.

The role will be fast paced and challenging and excellent organisation and time management skills are essential as well as being able to perform well under pressure.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting and supporting the project manager
  • Designing and controlling the project schedule
  • Preparing presentations to update senior management on the project’s progress
  • Delegating tasks to team members
  • Tracking and communicating project risks and opportunities
  • Looking for ways to increase the project’s profitability and reduce expenses where possible
  • Ensuring deadlines are met
  • Organising and attending stakeholder meetings
  • Providing administrative support
  • Organising project team meetings and recording minutes
  • Handling financial queries and PO management

Experience

  • Prior project coordination experience essential
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills essential
  • Real estate or facilities experience would be desirable
  • Ability to engage and communicate with stakeholders of all levels
  • Experience and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential
  • Project Management software experience is desirable
  • The role will suit someone who is naturally curious, takes the initiative and can multi-task
