Job Description

***This is a 12 month Maternity Leave Cover***

Primary role purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide high quality, timely, customer friendly and well delivered reporting and analysis covering all Financial Operations which is insightful and supports the Financial Operations Senior Leadership Team (SLT), with their decision making. This is a key role underpinning the Financial Operations transformation from "good to great". This role will be expected to use all available financial tools and systems to identify root cause of deviations and variations and provide advice and insight for corrective action.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the actual financial operational results of the Financial Operations function are provided to the SLT on an accurate and timely basis
  • Maximising the value of the data captured from multiple sources and identifying bottlenecks in the process through robust data and root cause analysis enabling delivery of insightful and predictive analysis
  • The position will work closely with the Senior Finance Operations team including Billing & Revenue Assurance, Credit Control, AR & Collections, Source to Pay and Accounting Operations
  • Develop and maintain the tableau dashboards:
       - daily / weekly / monthly SLA and KPI metrics and reporting
       - cycle time analysis of the key process within Financial Operations
  • Interface with key stakeholders, presenting data and key insights to both expert and non-expert audiences; liaising closely with OneIT and BU finance teams to develop new insightful and in-depth financial analysis helping to deliver improvements and moving the reporting and analysis to more predictive reporting space
  • Act as a key liaison between Financial Operations and support system leads to ensure the impact of changes to data structures, master data etc. are managed and integrated into the reporting cycles seamlessly
  • Manage data from multiple sources in varying formats and have the ability to turn a proof of concept into a production report (or process)
  • Supports the management of the functions long range business plans
  • Support the Financial Operations SLT to ensure that ad hoc Financial Operations reporting is proactively and reactively provided to enable high quality tactical and strategic business decisions
  • In collaboration with SMEs and other stakeholders, analyse and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of technology solutions to optimise simplified processes 

Essential Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Excellent and demonstrable analytical and modelling skills
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data and translate this into meaningful value-add end user analysis
  • Experience of data analysis in a financial operations function, ideally with SAP as the ERP
  • Complex problem solving skills, particularly in relation to large and variable data sets
  • Highly numerate with exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable working on both independent and team projects
  • Superior analytical skills coupled with good strategic business understanding leading to key business insight
  • Ability to draw high quality analysis out of the results that drive decisions in Financial Operations
  • Strong people skills, confident and comfortable at engaging collaboratively in an intellectual and multinational environment at all levels. Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with passion for excellence and innovation
  • Proactive individual with the ability to effectively manage various projects while adhering to deadlines
  • In depth and demonstrable knowledge of analytical software, Excel, MS Office, Tableau, Alteryx and other Analytics and Automation Tools

Desirable Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Part Qualified Accountant
  • Relevant Telco industry experience
