As a global organisation, Microsoft have many different customer types to provide their many services to – they call these 'Business areas'. In your role you will be located within the Global Treasury and Financial Services (GTFS) business area. Global team, people all over the world. This area manages and protects Microsoft's financial assets to support the journey of their customers, partners, and vendors by providing payment solutions, enabling customers to leverage their cash flow.
 

You will work as part of a team to...

• Use data to figure out business direction – innovating and making data informed decisions
• Interrogate data, establishing what you can find out from it and spotting inaccuracies
• Run monthly reports for business leaders, focussing on data/insights they want to see
• Support colleagues with their data sets, providing a fresh pair of eyes when needed
• Understand your data network to establish what reports you need to find the data outcome you have been tasked with
• Translate numbers into a data story, ready to present back to senior management
• Create reports, establishing key trends and anomalies
• Simplify data and distil into a clear impactful message

You will study for a Level 3 Business Administration qualification over this 18 month apprenticeship. You will spend 80% of your time learning on the job, and 20% working towards your apprenticeship. If you are successful on this programme, you may have the opportunity to go on with Microsoft to study at a higher level within your team, for example a Degree Apprenticeship.

Microsoft operate in a Hybrid Working environment. In simple terms, this means your working life can be split between home and your contracted place of work. As an apprentice you and your manager are empowered to find the flexible balance that works for you. Trips to your contracted place of work will be required from time to time.
