Ethics & Compliance Manager

Location - Hybrid - Dartford and home based

The Opportunity:

This role will be part of the Ethics & Compliance Team, with primary responsibility for ensuring that the Ethics & Compliance Programme is effectively designed and implemented across the Group.

The Hub Ethics & Compliance Manager will report to the Group Head of Ethics & Compliance and will work closely with the Hub Compliance Champions and Business Units/Functions to ensure that the compliance controls are designed and implemented to effectively mitigate the compliance risks.

What will the role look like?

  • Design, develop and implement compliance controls
  • Coordinate the annual compliance risk assessment, Code of Conduct refresh, Group Modern Slavery Programme
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory developments within or outside of the company, and evolving best practices in compliance control
  • Prepare for regulatory change by identifying potential effects and support the business in the development and implementation of compliant solutions
  • Establish and maintain an effective ethics and compliance training programme
  • Identify, develop & deliver training.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of industry process and regulations relating to Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Competition and Sanctions, Modern Slavery guidance and Data Privacy
  • Experience of conducting compliance-specific risk assessments and control reviews
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with excellent attention to detail
  • High levels of integrity and the ability to act with due skill, care, diligence, and confidentiality
