Are you a keen Business Manager or looking to transition to a business manager position, and value a collaborative, inclusive and global team? 

We are hiring a seasoned professional to join our Business Management team in London to oversee our regulatory reporting requirements in the Risk Management Group and advise on how our regulatory reporting aligns to the requirements of our Regulatory Reporting Policy and regulatory reporting control framework.

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing our regulatory reporting function and drive group wide compliance to ensure we meet our regulatory reporting obligations
  • Providing advisory expertise to implementing regulatory reporting requirements within a business context
  • Assessing and develop strong controls, robust documentation, and change management for the regulatory reporting function
  • Accountability for the ongoing documentation of processes to ensure both the production of reporting (e.g., data quality) and structure, content and format of the submissions meets regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring existing governance to ensure any changes are identified, assessed, and mitigated where required
  • Onboarding new members of the team and ensure they are meet our regulatory reporting governance framework
  • Working with our Risk Data team to ensure our data is fit for purpose
  • Partnering and building strong relationships with a variety of senior level stakeholders across the Risk Management Group and the wider group
  • Coordinating periodic management reporting
  • Initiating and drive continuous improvement in the Reporting processes
  • Keeping up to date with new and evolving regulatory reporting requirements, regulatory standard changes and the banking industry changes as a whole.

To succeed in this role, you will possess a minimum 8 years’ experience in Legal, Risk, Compliance or consulting roles, in particular regulatory reporting. Supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and a solid understanding of regulatory reporting environment in major global markets. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of business drivers and a strategic capability to harmonize compliance process with business needs. As a Senior Manager, you will have proven skills in relationship management and persuasiveness along with team leadership capability, either direct or project related.

Last but not least, strong organizational and communication skills are critical to succeed in this role.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
