Want to know more?

The Networks F5 team is responsible for protecting and securing the group's core infrastructure. Supporting colleagues and delivering for our customers, we are often engaged to diagnose and troubleshoot complex incidents. As specialists in our field, we help to drive and realise the technical strategy of the organisation using modern engineering methodologies and technologies. Our platforms are hosted both physically and virtually in private and public clouds.

Intrigued to hear more?

The environment we work in is fast paced and dynamic. In order to deliver securely and at pace for our colleagues and customers, we're transforming the delivery and operational capabilities of the team, based on DevOps principals and technologies.

Our engineers work collaboratively to ensure that we maintain and support the platform in parallel to its evolution. This is an operational focussed team so an element of out of hours working / support may be required.

What about you?

We know that people don't always fit neatly into roles, and we value everyone's individual skills, experiences and knowledge - it's what makes you, you! We'd love to hear if you have experience with a combination of some of the following:

  • Proven experience of infrastructure as code and CI/CD - Git and Jenkins

  • API invocation and construction of data payloads (JSON)

  • Scripting languages, Shell, Groovy, Python, Ansible (one or more, not all!)

  • Terraform or cloud native provisioning templates

Other useful skills would include;

  • A broad understanding of networking is advantageous as is domain knowledge of the core F5 platform (LTM, DNS, ASM etc).

  • JIRA/Confluence

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow - Incident, Change and Problem Management

  • F5 Big-IQ or AppviewX

You'd also get a benefits package that includes:

  • A performance related bonus

  • Generous pension contribution

  • 30 Days leave plus bank holidays

  • A flexible cash pot (4% of base salary) to spend on benefits

  • Private health cover

  • Wider corporate benefits and perks

We're dedicated to giving you opportunities and support to develop you both expertly and personally to optimise your potential. As a new colleague, you'll join us on our journey to build a 21st century bank that reflects modern Britain, and craft an inclusive culture where all colleagues feel encouraged and valued.

We're committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to building an inclusive environment where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit. We support the principles of agile working and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We're an equal opportunity employer and deeply value diversity within our organisation.

So if you possess the skills we're seeking then get in touch, we'd love to hear from you...

Together we make it possible.

Company

We’re creating an organisation that attracts, retains and develops the best talent in the industry, and one that openly embraces diversity too. But more than that – we want to be a great place to work. We invest in our people, offering the best training and coaching, and by encouraging them to contribute to our leading corporate and social responsibility practices. We offer flexible working hours and days, under our Work Options scheme. This means that you can have a challenging and rewarding career, and still have an ideal work/life balance.

Flexible working is at the heart of our strategy. We’re re-imagining where, when, and how our people work, with new approaches designed to meet the ever-changing needs of customers and colleagues. These include increasing our use of remote-working tools and technology, as well as placing less reliance on a 9-to-5 mindset. For many of our office-based colleagues, we work in hybrid ways which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites.
