The primary objective of the Channel Manager is to build and manage the team that will create demand in the marketplace for our Web Security and Web Acceleration portfolio of products and cover all white space opportunities, own pipeline management, and overall sales strategy. This includes, but is not limited to the following activities:

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize partner specific market data to identify current market share in key markets and target markets for growth.

  • Have established relationships with key decision makers inside of each region and Industry Vertical segment (retail, finance, manufacturing, etc), and driving those relationships into collaborative selling activities within the region.

  • Be the bridge between Yahoo and partner on all sales activities and strategy

  • Modify and develop product sales presentations for individual targeted customers and consulting engineers.

  • Follow the demand creation strategy and playbook to acquire and on-board new customers.

  • Coordinate with the Sales Enablement and Product Managers to conduct product introduction webinars and training.

  • Provide market feedback and competitive analysis data and presents new product development opportunities.

  • Use Salesforce.com to track activities and customer and partner related opportunities.

  • Build revenue and non revenue business plans with these partner(s).

  • Drive incremental sales pipeline and revenue.

  • Act as key channel strategist to direct sales executives  within the region.

  • Partner with marketing, product, and engineering teams to drive revenue growth within the region.

  • Provide geographic channel coverage for the region

  • Carry quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Qualifications: 

  • Deep understanding of the digital media industry with the ability to credibly articulate strategic insights for clients that are based on data and research

  • BA/BS Required; MBA preferred

  • 10+ years of experience leading enterprise sales teams and/or technical channel sales

  • Demonstrated partnerships with large clients and proven track record as a trusted advisor to clients

  • Excellent relationship builder

  • Collaborative and ability to work cross-functionally within our organization

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude

  • Flexibility to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment

  • Highly organized individual with great attention to detail

  • Proven track record in both sales and people management and development
