Senior PM&C Project Professional

Would you like to apply specialist knowledge to guide and instruct others in their application of planning, monitoring and control processes? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior PM&C Project Professional at our site in Birkenhead, however other locations considered as well as flexible working arrangements.

As a Senior PM&C Project Professional, you will be will operating planning, monitoring and control processes on a medium to large project, or be responsible for some aspects of planning, monitoring and control, for example scheduling, on a larger and more complex project. The role may report to a Lead planning, monitoring and control professional, or to the project's Head of planning, monitoring and control or directly to the Project/Programme Manager.

This role will provide you with exposure to senior stakeholders within the business.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior PM&C Project Professional will involve:

  • Knowledge and understanding of their line of business or project
  • Broad PM&C experience demonstrated in within a significant business or project.
  • Extensive, expert level understanding of one or more PM&C tools techniques and practices.
  • Knowledge of the PM&C capability landscape (including with Professional institutions I.e. APM or similar)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Business environment for Line of Business or project.
  • Knowledge and experience of PM&C governance and assurance processes such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).
  • Experience of influencing stakeholders inside the company to achieve business success.
  • Ability to capture, and share best practice
  • Roles typically requires a broad PM&C experience and an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential

  • Previous planning, monitoring and control experience
  • Demonstrable experience working with Project Manager and Program Managers
  • Strong stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Experience with any project tools such as Microsoft Project or a scheduling tool
  • Strong Excel skills would be advantageous, even use of the full suite as the role may require using this heavily

What we are looking for in you:

You should have good communication and stakeholder engagement, as you will need to be able to motivate and influence others. You should be competent in the procedures surrounding planning, monitoring and control. You should also be able to exchange complicated information such as information with engineering staff about the potential schedule impact of engineering risks.

Location: Birkenhead, however other locations considered as well as flexible working arrangements

Salary: Up to £42,530 depending on skills and experience
