Part time HR Manager (2.5 - 3 days per week flexible)

A superb opportunity to join an outstanding Managed Service provider to the NHS. The HR Manager role will be pivotal in the ongoing success and growth of the organisation.

Part time HR Manager Job Description

The business runs on a small headcount currently despite its size and success, but has imminent growth plants to increase this to be circa 20. The company has never had a dedicated HR Manager but feels that it would now benefit from the one bearing in mind it's growth plans. The incumbent would effectively be 'the HR Department' dealing with all HR-related matters.

Additionally, the role would involve dealing with managing the company premises (a floor of a small leasehold office) and office matters.

Part time HR Manager responsibilities:

  • Implementing a staff structure
  • Overhaul salary & benefits structure.
  • Support the Board in maintaining a healthy office environment and values.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures to both comply with legislation and ensure that the needs of staff and the business are met.
  • Encourage and manage staff education and training.
  • Set up a system of staff appraisals and periodic one to one meetings.
  • Manage disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, attendance, and occupational health issues.
  • Lead and manage the recruitment and selection process, including any pre-employment verification measures.
  • Administer payroll and pensions and health insurance.
  • Administer holidays and sickness, etc.
  • Provide all HR administration including employment contracts; new starter documentation; recording holiday/absence/maternity; and ensure all policy documentation is kept up to date.
  • Manage the office premises (lease; services; seating plan; health and safety; office assets; etc.)

Part time HR Manager required skills / qualification:

  • Experienced HR Manager
  • CIPD Level 5 OR qualified by experience
  • Strong IT Skills (Microsoft Office)
