Job Summary
Yale University Press is looking to recruit a part-time Sales Administrator to join the friendly and dynamic team of their trading subsidiary, Yale Representation Ltd. This role is based in Yale’s London office, working 3 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to a team of 5 UK sales representatives, and customer service to a prestigious portfolio of client publishers.
Purpose of job
To provide sales support to the field sales team and direct customer service to the Yale Representation Ltd client publishers on an administrative level.

Key responsibilities
Collating & submitting bibliographic data to wholesalers and retail head offices on behalf of Yale Representation's client publishers, and dealing with queries.
Liaising with client publishers to coordinate the collation and distribution of sales materials to the field sales force.
Providing sales administrative support, including processing orders and dealing with title and promotional queries from book trade customers and client publishers.
Additional Duties
Updating and managing the CRM system, including following up on leads and sharing them with the sales team
Managing content on the Yale Representation Ltd website
Producing e-marketing campaigns for book trade customers
Administrative and organisational support for Yale Representation sales conferences and client meetings
Person Specification – Key knowledge & skills
Essential:
- Sales or customer support experience, ideally in a bookselling or publishing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and an ability to multitask
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility
- Working knowledge of Excel
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of WordPress, Mailchimp and CRM systems
- Familiarity with Nielsen BookData

The Location
The role will be based in our offices on Bedford Square in Bloomsbury WC1, with convenient access to the Northern and Central lines, as well as many bus routes. We are also flexible on this role being worked through a combination of home and office working.
Flexibility
We are able to offer flexibility on the hours that this role is delivered. For instance the role could be delivered as 3 full days per week or the 21 hours could be spread across the week. We are happy to discuss this further.
