Strategic Campaign Supply Chain Manager

We currently have a position available for a Strategic Campaign Supply Chain Manager to join our Supply Chain team here at BAE Systems.

As the Strategic Campaign Supply Chain Manager within the International Navy Support Team, you will have end to end responsibility for setting, leading and implementing Strategic Supply Chain solutions for all supply chain and procurement activities across a portfolio of major asset availability service focussed campaigns.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Supply Chain Professional will involve:

    Development of Supply Chain Strategies & Resources for the campaign(s) / portfolio.

    Lead on Supply Chain Governance approvals & Market Test for campaign(s).

    Work with function and delivery organisations to identify resource(s) to meet demand.

    Provide Supply Chain challenge and innovation into each campaign.

    Lead interface with wider group and business Supply Chain Teams.

    Work with Commercial to develop partnering strategies/agreements.

    Lead supplier engagements and costing activities for the portfolio, Inc health assessments.

    Lead on Make/Buy decision analyses, Supplier Contract and Purchase Order Management, assessment and assurance of Supplier Security compliance, Supplier Trade Controls compliance, Supplier Quality Standards compliance, on driving cost out of the supply chain to improve value for money offerings in any bid.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential

    Proven business winning supply chain capability. - Evidence of background in setting up SC agreements to win new business.

    Experience in dealing with major OEM's.

    Experience managing £10m + supply chain bids with multiple vendors.

Desirable

    Maritime sector experience

    MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) / Aftermarket experience.

    Open to consider other sectors - Rail, O&G, Aerospace - not closed to industry.

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Experience in pulling together collaborative teams / bids

Location: Portsmouth - Broad Oak

Salary: Up to £60,000 - £70,000 Depending on experience
