Join our Product Control team and play a key role in ensuring an effective Product Control and Valuation Control across our global organisation whilst being part of an inclusive and passionate team.

This new role is due to significant growth within our Commodities and Global Markets group, the Financial Management Group has identified an exciting new opportunity to bring in an experienced senior resource into our Commodities and Global Markets Finance team

Reporting into the global head of Product Control and working closely with the Product Control & Independent Valuations Teams leadership teams globally, you will use your industry experience and technical expertise in developing & reviewing key policies and procedures and applying an assurance framework to ensure a consistent application of controls and process. Further, you will contribute your experience to key projects, initiatives & forums such as automation, XVA, and FRTB.

Utilising your excellent communication skills, you will need to develop key relationships internally, working across Commodities and Global Markets Finance functional groups, other support areas such as the Risk Management Group as well as the business.

To be successful in the role you will have extensive experience in Product Control and Valuation Control at a director level. In addition, you have experience in policy development and be comfortable working with senior internal stakeholders and external regulators. You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • You will have a strong understanding of trade valuations and risk factors (Greeks) ideally with experience in commodities. 
  • You will be curious, always asking, “What’s new,” and “How can we do this better”.
  • You will be a natural leader to be generous with your knowledge, time, and feedback and track record of developing staff.
  • You will be bold, seeing challenges as opportunities that can be overcome as a team.  
  • Ideally you will be qualified in Accounting or Finance with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
