Berry Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about cooking and looking to grow their kitchen skills and experience.

Our client is a local residential home located just outside King's Lynn they are looking for a part - time Head Cook to provide traditional homemade meals to their residence. You will need to be passionate about cooking and be able to create baked goods, working with fresh ingredients. We are looking for candidates with a basic knowledge of a working kitchen, a clear understanding of allergens, food hygiene & kitchen health and safety.

Your Main duties will include:

Hygienic preparation of food & drink (breakfast & lunch) for residents, taking dietary requirements into consideration
General kitchen cleaning, as per cleaning rota
Completing paperwork (temperatures, opening & closing checks & cleaning rota)
Getting meat & vegetables ready for night-staff to prepare
Weekly shopping lists
Ensuring menu book is filled in for the next day
Stock Rotation
Getting food (bread, butter etc) defrosted for tea-time
Ensuring the kitchen is left clean at the end of your shift Experience:

1yr minimum of kitchen experience, willing to accept students with relevant qualifications looking to gain kitchen experience

Hours:

Working two shifts a week,

Starting at 7am & finish at 2pm, with staff arriving by 6:45am to prepare.

Pay:

GBP9.50
