Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for originating, developing and converting high value prospects in the field of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure projects and services. As a key member of the core commercial team, you will be able to target, build and nurture relationships with both private and public sector B2B clients across Europe. In close collaboration with the core team, you will have the opportunity to innovate and help refine the value proposition to ensure we remain competitive and relevant in a rapidly evolving market.

Initially, you will work in the Energy Technology team supporting the Commercial Director with the execution of the go-to-market plan. At term, it is envisaged that this role will transfer into a dedicated EV platform business at which point, as Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the sales activity related to delivering electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure projects and services, to both public and private sector B2B clients, across Europe.

For success in this role, you will have significant experience of leading high value business development activity, ideally in the B2B e-mobility space. You will have a strong track record of securing multi-million pound contracts from both the private and public sector and through direct contracts and competitive tenders. You will be capable of structuring and negotiating complex commercial deals and have experience of building and managing relationships at the most senior levels (c-suite). The successful candidate is expected to have significant experience in e-mobility fleets, infrastructure and services sector and a good working knowledge of project and asset finance, leasing and service contracts.

Experience of working in the energy sector and large infrastructure projects for both public and private sector clients is also welcome. Candidates with strong commercial experience of behind-the-meter energy storage and power generation, demand-side response and energy services will also be considered. Ideally, you will have experience of working in European markets and associated language skills are highly regarded.

Transfer within EV Business

We anticipate that in 2022 your employment may transfer to the company which is being incorporated to house GIG’s European EV Platform, along with other employees of the Employer who are assigned to that business.
