Immediate opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join an exciting, forward- thinking business.
The Company
An excellent opportunity has arisen for our client based in Bridgnorth to work as part of their busy and friendly Finance team.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include:
* Processing large volumes of supplier invoices, allocating to correct account code to ensure accurate reporting
* Preparing and submitting supplier payment runs on a weekly basis, including posting to the ledger
* Reconciling Purchase Ledger accounts regularly to ensure ledgers are kept up to date
* Answering internal and external queries
* Managing supplier relationships, answering queries and challenging invoices where appropriate in a professional and timely manner
* Applying for new credit limits with new and existing suppliers
* Analysis and processing of expenses claims including business credit cards
* Liaise with Team HODs and communicate efficiently regarding approvals and payment runs
* Preparing ad hoc reporting and supporting with analysis when required by the Finance Manager
* Any other tasks as required
Personal Profile
In order to be successful in this role, you will have experience as an accounts payable assistant and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy accounts environment. You will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the business and both internally and externally. We are looking for a self-motivated candidate, with a flexible approach to their work who is used to working to deadlines.
