Role

  • The Integrated Works Test Commissioning Manager’s role is to manage the delivery of an Off-Site test programme across multiple facilities that confirms design intent against functional acceptance criteria.
  • To provide knowledge, leadership, management and support to the test delivery teams across the test facilities.
  • To ensure testing is executed in line with company, legal, regulatory and project requirements.
  • Accurately Reporting test progress to stakeholders against test schedule, cost and programme.

Responsibilities

  • To build a suitability qualified and experienced test team capable of testing the engineering functions and well as validating operational and maintenance instructions
  • Ensuring a proactive and balanced approach to safety (Nuclear, radiological, conventional & environmental) to ensure that safety is optimised during testing.
  • Delivering the work scope to an agreed strategy and plan in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensuring the relevant risks are identified early and managed / mitigated as appropriate. This includes regular monitoring of the residual risks.
  • Reviewing testing progress and performance and taking appropriate corrective actions where necessary.

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to obtain Monitored Worker status
  • Sole UK National to be able to gain SC Clearance
  • Experience in a Commissioning/Testing Managers role
  • Able to travel regularly across the UK and Europe

Desirable Requirements

  • Degree (or Equivalent in an Engineering discipline)
  • CEng or IEng registered status with the Engineering Council
  • Knowledge of the Nuclear Commissioning and Pre-Operations Processes
  • Experience in managing test facilities
