Senior Project Manager Would you like to deliver business and enterprise IT Projects into the UK's Leading Defence Companies? Due to project growth within the business, we currently have vacancies for Senior Project Managers at our sites in Preston or Farnborough.As a Senior Project Manager, you will be leading large, cross functional, multi domain teams to deliver projects of significant size and complexity. You will be fully accountable for budgets (£1m+), these will be enterprise level projects looking at collaboration, security, applications or infrastructure domains predominantly, as well as potentially transformational change, and cover all business units in BAE systems.This role will provide you with the opportunity to shape and grow a rewarding career within IT project management. Your main responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager will involve:Lead end to end management of highly complex large value projects, within a complex supply chain and stakeholder environment Leading and managing the delivery of large complex projects or a programme of work which have a transformational business impactProviding strong and effective leadership to the delivery team and suppliersWorking with multiple vendors to define project plans which will achieve the project goals with a focus on business change elementsDelivering robust business cases with key stakeholdersDelivering to time, cost and quality whilst maintaining a high-level of business awareness and sensitivity to commercial priorities.Providing timely and concise decision-making information to customers and stakeholders through formal and informal communication and reporting channels.Proactively managing risk and control through the lifecycle of the projectEnsuring project delivery adheres to BAE Systems Life Cycle Management governance and assurance criteria Your skills and qualifications: Experience of working on enterprise-wide IT projects and successfully managing suppliers as part of the project delivery teamProficient understanding of project lifecycle managementExperience of successfully delivering business transformation and business changeExperience of waterfall and agile project delivery methodologiesProven experience of successfully delivering business outcomes as part of project deliveryCan demonstrate experience of leading on project collaboration and cross functional workingFormal Project Management training What we are looking for in you: You will be able to work in complex environments and collaborate across multiple business areas and supply chains to achieve common business objectives. You must be able to demonstrate confidence in resolving issues, making decisions and identifying priorities and be able to communicate, through all media, with stakeholders at all levels.
