L&Q has an exciting opportunity for a Survey Manager for Building Safety. This role will help to deliver L&Q's Building Safety Information project to create the golden thread of information. This is an 18 month programme, which will put L&Q in the position to meet the new building safety regulations at the earliest date.

The successful candidate will take ownership for managing all building surveying as required by the project for buildings in scope of the more stringent building safety regime. As part of this you will work with internal and external teams to manage the undertaking of building surveys, and the transfer and storage of survey information in our chosen data/information systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career. You will be a self-motivated, with survey management experience. You should be able to communicate clearly and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

Skills and experience necessary: 

  • An understanding of the upcoming building safety legislation and the roles and responsibilities of the principal accountable person / accountable person
  • Working knowledge in information, data, and document management systems
  • Experience of building surveying, specifically experience of surveying requirements for Fire Safety systems
  • Experience of surveying for Structural systems
  • Experience of contract management
  • Experience of data administration, management, and interpretation
  • Experience of data/information collection
  • Excellent organisational skills, with experience of project management in change programmes
  • Good written and oral communication skills for effective stakeholder management
