Role Purpose

This post is integral to NRW s work at the coast under the Environment (Wales) Act and Wellbeing of Future Generations Act and will work closely with the virtual Marine People & Places Team. The role will support and promote integrated working within NRW, to deliver sustainable coastal management in the light of the nature and climate emergency, in line with the Marine Area Statement.

This post will have a key role in coordinating NRW s internal Integrated Coastal Management Programme and will contribute to and lead on tasks within the Programme. The post will also support communication with external partners on sustainable coastal management.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Knowledge of, and experience in advising on, integrated management at the coast
2. Knowledge of and experience in providing technical advice on, one or more of the following: shoreline management plans; marine protected area management; asset management; flood risk management.
3. Ability to interpret and communicate marine and coastal data.
4. Good interpersonal skills and experience of working collaboratively both internally and externally.
