What you'll be doing?

Here in the ServiceNow Centre of Excellence and Innovation, we're on a mission to transform Lloyds Banking Group. To realise this, we need innovative approaches to developing the processes and technologies that underpin the Bank.

We're achieving this by exploiting the capability of ServiceNow, an industry leading tool in automating colleagues' experiences to improve customer outcomes. Since the implementation of ServiceNow in 2018, we have delivered immense value through the platform, now hosting over 50 business processes spanning Risk, ITSM, Cyber, Change and Customer Payments…and we are just getting started.

We're now looking for a Business Analyst who will work hand in hand with Business partnersbe, Technical Squad Leads, Scrum Teams and Product Owners to craft and document solutions - including Agile Stories and technical specifications - that are aligned to the overall platform design principles and strategy, working within Agile Squads, and supported by the Platform Engineering Lead, Product Owners and Platform SME in a highly collaborative, Agile environment.

You'll have a consistent track record as a Technical Analyst including:

  • Understanding both business and information technology, and an outstanding ability to translate between both effectively
  • Ability to influence business partners towards realising beneficial outcomes (what is actually needed vs. what is thought to be needed)
  • Ability to translate business requirements to technical outcomes, including Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done
  • Excellence in documentation - business based, technical solution design and Agile Story creation, ownership and progression

What skills you'll bring?

You'll be self-motivated with experience in a Technical Analyst role. Exposure to the ServiceNow Platform is desirable, but not crucial. You'll have excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts and a track record of crafting powerful agile stories for development by our expert development scrums.

You'll be a people person, and committed to problem solving, never one to shy away from a challenge or a problem; and collaborative and supportive to the nth degree. You'll have a high level of servant-leadership skills, and people will seek you out for support and guidance.

In addition, you'll be organised and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

You'll also have/demonstrate:

  • Decisive, creative, analytical and proactive thinking with effective communication skills
  • Some knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations and priorities.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to ensuring a successful implementation within a Scrum/Agile Team and Structure

What you'll get in return?

You'll enjoy an over and above diverse role with lots of challenges to relish, and we'll ensure you get real stretch so that you benefit from wider career opportunities and progression.

We're passionate about diversity in our workforce and genuine about providing equal opportunity and are able to accommodate elements of flexible working to suit you.

We'll also provide you with a total reward package that includes:

  • A competitive base salary (£50K - £75K. London based roles will attract a salary at the higher end of the range)
  • A performance-related share bonus
  • Generous pension contribution
  • A flexible benefit fund to suit your lifestyle
  • Paid overtime and on call allowance
  • Private health cover
  • 30 days holidays (plus bank holidays)

So if this sounds like your ideal next role and you have the leadership, skills and background we're seeking then get in touch, we would like to hear from you...

Flexible working is at the heart of our strategy. We’re re-imagining where, when, and how our people work, with new approaches designed to meet the ever-changing needs of customers and colleagues. These include increasing our use of remote-working tools and technology, as well as placing less reliance on a 9-to-5 mindset. For many of our office-based colleagues, we work in hybrid ways which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites.
