What you'll be doing?

Here in the ServiceNow Centre of Excellence and Innovation, we're on a mission to build the bank of the future, and we need your help do it. Continuing our extensive transformation programme, we're redefining what a bank is from the inside out. Our technology, our culture, and our mind-set is changing to craft a true engineering-led organisation.

We're achieving this by exploiting the capability of ServiceNow, an industry leading tool in automating colleagues' experiences to improve customer outcomes. Since the implementation of ServiceNow in 2018, we have delivered immense value through the platform, now hosting over 50 business processes spanning Risk, ITSM, Cyber, Change and Customer Payments…and we're just getting started!

We're looking for a Senior Developer in our Core Platform Squad who will support and drive the continued health of the platform; working in conjunction with our developers, analysts and Architects across any and all ServiceNow modules; to design, develop and support solutions that further platform capability and exploitation as an enterprise suite.

You'll understand technical aspects the ServiceNow Platform including:

  • Service Now Solution architecture understanding (desirable, but not essential)
  • A broad knowledge of ServiceNow modules (LBG used modules desirable but not essential) as this role requires a well-rounded view of platform capability and the way they can interact
  • A keen understanding of ServiceNow Platform Health Best Practice, including archiving
  • Process and solution integration, including an understanding of workflow design/configuration including Event Flow Handler
  • Solid grasp of API, JSON, MID Servers and associated technologies that can/do integrate with ServiceNow
  • Demonstrable experience as a technical resource, working to further the development of ServiceNow solutions. You may currently be a Technical Architect, Scrum Master, Squad Lead, Developer, System Administrator, Domain Specialist or Analyst
  • Alternatively, you may be an experienced Technical Specialist on other IT or Cloud based applications, with an ability to pick up the intricacies of new and emergent technologies at pace and to an excellent level of detail

What skills you'll bring?

You'll be self-motivated with a consistent track record in Agile/Scrum Delivery and comfortable in the multifaceted atmosphere of a technical organisation with a rapidly growing customer base. In addition, you'll be organised and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. You'll also demonstrate commercial experience of working with Vendors within an agile environment.

You'll also have/demonstrate:

  • Experience of ServiceNow or other IT technology implementations
  • Significant, creative, analytical and proactive thinking with effective communication and relationship management
  • Ability to understand business requirements and support teams into translating them into solution designs
  • Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience leading expectations and priorities.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering a successful implementation within a Scrum/Agile Team and Structure
