Resource Planning Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Resource Planning Manager to work at the heart of the organisation, helping to decide who to work with through effective resource planning.

Position: Resource Planning Manager

Location: The main office is in Central London and we operate a Flexible Working Policy (up to 3 days/week can be home-based).

Hours: Full-time (flexible)

Salary: £37k pa + excellent benefits

Contract: Permanent

The Role

As Resource Planning Manager, you will be at the heart of the charity’s work, helping to decide who to work with and how through effective resource planning. The charity brings two pipelines of people together, charities looking for support and teams of business experts to support them, all in turn supported by Project Managers.

Your role, a new one situated in the Delivery Team, is to lead on the forward planning and management of these, using data and a resource spreadsheet, to guide operational decisions. You will support the Leadership Team with forward planning, through performance data and strategy tools such as scenario planning, in line with an ambitious strategy to equip charities with the skills they need in order to be effective.

Your role is to bring order and process in the context of a fast-paced working environment, using problem solving, analytic and relationship skills to bring the best out of your colleagues.

Key areas of responsibility include:

 

  • Plan and manage complex multi-project programme time schedules
  • Act as coordination lead for Partner Business, Partner Charity and Delivery Team capacity pipelines, highlighting risks and critical issues, impact and mitigation
  • Lead on coordination and deployment of staff and freelance capacity across a range of projects
  • Assist with the management of freelance team capacity
  • Lead ownership and management of resource planning tool
  • Lead on detailed project and programme planning to ensure timely coordination of dates and project set-up
  • Lead on systems and process development to increase efficiency and streamline activity
  • Support with data analysis and interpretation for the purpose of monitoring and reporting
  • Briefing and advising the Leadership Team on current and future resource planning.

 

About You

As Resource Planning Manager, you will have excellent knowledge of project management methodology and experience complex project management.

You will also have:

 

  • Experience of creating, adapting and monitoring processes for effective time scheduled project planning of complex people resource capacity planning and coordination
  • Experience of developing systems and processes
  • Experience of data analysis and reporting at a senior level
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
  • Advanced Excel and proficient in Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and experience CRM experience (Salesforce preferably).
