Who are Lloyds Banking Group?

Lloyds Bank are on a mission to help Britain Prosper, and we need your help in achieving our goals. We are revolutionising our technology, empowering our engineers and rapidly transforming our agile working methods. Come. Join us. Be part of building the Bank of the Future!

Where does the role sit and about the team?

The Payments and Economic Crime Prevention (PECP) Value Stream is a crucial part of this programme, and our vision is to promote social well-being for our customers by enabling them to make and receive payments and protect them from fraud and financial crime. By becoming part of our diverse team, you'll experience a rare opportunity to impact the lives of millions of people across the country.

We're looking for someone to work on the biggest change that Payments has seen this decade. New Payments Architecture (NPA) is doing exactly that, and we need your help to build the Bank of the Future!

NPA is a regulatory initiative that will change UK payments as we know them. Working closely with industry, the NPA team is replacing the complexity of the existing payments landscape with a new, more efficient infrastructure that will benefit from enhanced security and resilience.

This multi-million-pound initiative has a new partnership with a leading FinTech company and is looking for passionate individuals who are interested in working with new and exciting technologies, such as Cloud and Software as a Service (SaaS).

About the role...

We believe that people don't always fit neatly into roles, and we value everyone's individual skills, experience, and knowledge - it's what makes you unique!

We're looking to recruit a Team Product Owner (PO) who will bring to life the delivery of our products, build an environment in which people reach their full potential and a culture where innovation and experimentation are encouraged.

The Team PO will be a passionate and inspiring leader who will empower their team to tackle business problems and create value through delivering excellent solutions in response to customer needs.

Here's how you'll make a difference:

  • You'll inspire your team with energy and passion.
  • Be able to think 'big' but value incremental improvements.
  • Influence by building trust and empowering the team with responsibility.
  • You'll be data-driven and bring evidence-based decision-making to explain 'why'.
  • Use your experience working with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver change.

What we need from you as a minimum to apply for the role:

  • You'll have the ability to craft a product vision and define work to be done.
  • Have proven Product Owner experience working in a cross-functional team.
  • You'll have the ability to influence up and down the organisation and explain prioritisation decisions to stakeholders.
  • Have experience of building a phenomenal team environment that attracts and retains talent.
  • You'll understand what it means to be a role model to support a culture where people can grow and develop.

What's in it for you?

Whatever your aspirations, you can expect excellent benefits, personal development, and a career that's enriching and full of opportunity.

In PECP, we promote an inclusive and diverse environment - it is one of the many things our colleagues love about working with us! As part of this we encourage colleagues to be flexible in their ways of working - including where and when you work - so you can balance your personal commitments with the needs of the business.

We'd also like to reassure applicants that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the interview process, to perform job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.

So, are you looking for a rewarding, exciting and stretching role in which you can contribute to our purpose of helping Britain prosper and make a difference to customers, businesses, and communities?

If so, join our inclusive, purpose-led team that celebrates diversity and apply today...

Company

We’re creating an organisation that attracts, retains and develops the best talent in the industry, and one that openly embraces diversity too. But more than that – we want to be a great place to work. We invest in our people, offering the best training and coaching, and by encouraging them to contribute to our leading corporate and social responsibility practices. We offer flexible working hours and days, under our Work Options scheme. This means that you can have a challenging and rewarding career, and still have an ideal work/life balance.

Flexible working is at the heart of our strategy. We’re re-imagining where, when, and how our people work, with new approaches designed to meet the ever-changing needs of customers and colleagues. These include increasing our use of remote-working tools and technology, as well as placing less reliance on a 9-to-5 mindset. For many of our office-based colleagues, we work in hybrid ways which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites.
