Job Details

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Analyst to join our Credit Risk team. You will help facilitate the development of the various Equities and Bond trading businesses globally, though with a focus on the EMEA region. Additionally, the opportunity will arise for involvement in related activities including corporate lending, new product assessment and structured finance transaction analysis.

You will be responsible for the review of new counterparties (Funds, Brokers and Financial Institutions) and establishment of credit limits, as well as assisting with transactions early in the deal process, identifying key issues and co-ordinating the credit response. You will also take on the task of presenting complex structures in a concise and clear manner, including making recommendations to senior risk management staff. You will monitor trading exposures and limits, interacting with traders and responding to live trading requests, as well as being responsible for the negotiation of legal documents, ongoing and self-initiated monitoring of counterparty and industry developments and participating in client visits to gain a better understanding of the client's credit position.

You will be a self-starter with a growth mindset and desire to learn and display strong resilience and the ability to defend your view when challenged. You are a collegial team member who builds open dialogue-based relationships with clients, the front office, and colleagues. Your in-depth analytical skills gained preferably (but not necessarily) within a financial institution, along with your strong commercial orientation and understanding of business and risk-related issues will see you flourish in this role.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you to take the next step in your career, please apply online now.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
