Enterprise Architect - Strategic Alignment

London, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, Manchester, or any of our main sites across the UK - We're happy with home working the majority of the time, however you'll need to be in office every now and again for team meetings.

 

Salary & Benefits: The base salary banding for this role is £81,928 - £122,892 in London and £70,784 - £106,176 outside of London plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

The Enterprise Architecture Strategic Alignment team operate as internal technology consultants, working to align The Group's Technology outcomes across our business and technology architecture domains, to identify opportunities to optimise investment to align to Technology Strategies, and to support executive decision making with insights from roadmaps and portfolio plans.

 

What will I focus on in this role?

We are recruiting an experienced and forward-looking Strategic Architect who can combine technical thought leadership with strong commercial sense and stakeholder skills to drive strategy and alignment across a large and varied transformation portfolio.

 

This role is not just about technical skills, the ability to command the respect of and provide leadership to stakeholders from across the organisation is critical. We expect you to be able to view challenges from many different perspectives and create and drive strategies and solutions that are not only technically sound, but also include regulatory, commercial and organisational aspects when appropriate. We are looking for experienced individuals with a strong background in technology strategy and delivery, who can shape and driver their own work, who produce their own deliverables and can lead and mentor others without direct authority.

What do we need to see from applicants?

  • Technology leadership, shaping of technology strategy
  • Experience in the definition and assessment of Roadmaps and Strategies for the delivery of Business and Technical solutions
  • Technology portfolio analysis and optimisation
  • High level understanding of Cloud, Data, API, Digital Channels
  • Experience of Domain Modelling and Business Capability mapping
  • The ability to create executive level presentation materials and insights, and to engage with stakeholders at this level
