Job Details

The Commercial Banking (CB), Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) and Finance CCOR team look to enhance control and enable sustainable growth for Lloyds Banking Group, through the delivery of proactive support and constructive challenge to the Commercial Banking Sales and Trading business areas.

No day in Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk is the same. We engage right across the Group, advising on ways to improve how we keep the bank safe, delight our customers and Help Britain Prosper. This means we work closely as a collaborative team and spend a lot of our time looking at different areas of the Bank, analysing data to help our teams and businesses.

We are a diverse group of people, who come from many different backgrounds. Whilst we celebrate these differences, we share a common vision to offer new insight, support, and challenge to senior management.

It is no surprise then that we are looking for people who are up for challenge, have a thirst for ways to improve the business and themselves, love learning and are willing to be flexible. Your experience will be invaluable to us, whether it is already in a risk and compliance role, close to the customer in the business or in skills that support our future vision for the team. In return you can expect to get great development opportunities, be empowered to try new ways of working and an opportunity to work across many areas of the Bank.

What we're looking for...

  • Markets product knowledge with a good understanding of the end to end risk and controls within a commercial banking environment (FX, Rates, Commodities or Credit Sales and Trading).
  • Good Operational Risk Framework knowledge and how components of such tie together
  • Experience of collaborating with senior leaders in the organisation, either from an operational or compliance advisory perspective, including regulatory and relevant risk management frameworks.
  • Experience of delivering oversight / activities to manage the effectiveness of risk, compliance and controls and provide strategic insight.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Have an exceptional knowledge of Commercial / Wholesale Banking, ideally with digital experience.
  • Proven ability to improve and/or automate controls, and/or automated control/data led monitoring.
  • Analytically minded - able to analyse risk data and draw learnings from incidents and near misses
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Be confident operating within a matrixed responsibilities model: successfully influencing and working collaboratively within a complex matrix of stakeholders

Together we'll make it possible...

In return, you'll learn new skills, technologies, and approaches to software development. As a multi-brand, multi-channel business, we have the scale and reach to give you a diverse range of opportunities to learn, grow and develop and to help you achieve a rewarding and fulfilling career!

As a leading employer we embrace diversity and equal opportunity with industry recognition across gender, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQ+ and families. And, being disability positive, reasonable adjustments can be accommodated in our Recruitment process.

You'll also receive a benefits package which includes:

  • Discretionary Performance Share Award
  • Generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • A flex benefits cash pot you can adjust to suit your lifestyle (4% on top of your basic salary)
  • Private health cover which you can extend to family
  • Share schemes, including free shares
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 30 with service)

So, if joining us at a critical and exciting time appeals and this role sounds like it could be for you, click apply today, we'd love to hear from you!
