As an Apprentice Building Services Engineer at L&Q, you will be working in our Building Services (Gas) team assisting in the delivery of L&Q’s services including cyclical maintenance, design, repairs and installations.

In this role you will gain experience in various mechanical and electrical scenarios that will allow you to not only complete the apprenticeship with confidence but gain experience to work within the building services sector. This role will cover all the skill areas required within the scope of the building services apprenticeship, with a biasedness towards gas and heating. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with focus on attention to detail, and with an interest in engineering and problem solving.

You will complete a Level 4, Building Services Engineering Technical Apprenticeship which (includes an HNC qualification) at Mid-Kent college, Maidstone campus.  A two and a half year structured learning plan will support you to progress to your chosen pathway.

Strong organisational and excellent communication skills are essential to this role as well as an understanding of what first-class customer service is.

We are looking for a candidate with resilience, enthusiasm, and a passion to help people.

Other essential skills and experience include:

·       Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines

·       Good IT skills

·       Self-motivated

·       Strong maths skills

·        Must be flexible and willing to travel to multiple sites in and around London

·        Must be able to work in the UK.

·        Must be able to drive and have access to a car

Qualification Requirements

  • 5 x GCSE’s grades A-C – equivalent or above including maths and English (a strong understanding of maths is essential).
