An opportunity has arisen to join the Consumer Cards Contract Rate Pricing team within Pricing and Performance. We maintain appropriate price for risk through upwards and downwards repricing, ensuring fair treatment of our customers whilst creating the right balance of risk and reward for our shareholders.

 

This is an exciting time to join the team to optimise our Contract Rate Pricing! We value people who can balance risk and reward, and develop and implement data led strategies based upon detailed analysis of customer profiles and behaviours.

 

What you'll be doing …

 

A critical element to running a successful cards portfolio is to ensure that we're effectively and fairly priced. The team is responsible analysing customer behaviour, generating insight and making recommendations to deliver simple, fair and transparent pricing across our brands.

 

Working closely with key partners from across the Cards Business as well as Marketing, Digital, Legal, Risk, Group Transformation, Group Operations and Group Customer Services to consider a broad range of impacts and risks when developing strategy proposals.

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Present your insight and recommendations to senior managers and partners to gain support and approval

  • Support the delivery, execution and monitoring of new and existing pricing strategies

 

Location & Ways of Working

 

We're open to applicants from all sites and our team is widely distributed across the country with team mates in Chester, Cardiff and Leeds. As a team we follow a hybrid working model, combining working from home with working in the office.

 

What you can bring to the role

 

Essential

  • Proven analytical or numerical work experience

  • Highly enthusiastic & self-motivated with an ability to solve problems and find innovative ways to bring data to life.

  • Ability to present conclusions concisely and have the communication skills to influence partners.

  • You can work as part of a team and independently, setting key priorities for yourself and have an ability to plan, prioritise and handle diverse workloads effectively

 

Desirable

  • Ideally previous experience working in an analytical role and be able to manipulate large data sets to provide meaningful insight that will lead the debate on business decisions.

  • A degree or equivalent qualification within a numerical or analytical discipline.

  • Financial services experience
