For the right candidate, there is the potential for this to become a permanent role.

Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This part-time role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

Temporary Part-time Data Analyst Responsibilities

This role sits in the Finance team but involves collaboration with our Commercial Team. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Prepare daily P&L reports for the finance and commercial team and external clients, which require a quick turn around
Responsible for monthly client invoicing. This requires the confirmation, reconciliation, and settlement of all trading activity and industry costs and preparation of the client invoices
Responsibility for ensuring that quality and accuracy are maintained
Contributing towards a supportive, positive and energetic working environment

The Company

Our client operates at the forefront of the energy sector. They are seeking a candidate with equal passion and enthusiasm for their field to become part of their team on a temporary basis.

Temporary Part-time Data Analyst Experience

Essential Skills and Experience:

Strong numerical and problem-solving skills including the ability to assess errors and variances to reconcile data
Excellent verbal and written communication
Invoicing knowledge, and familiarity with our accounting software (Xero)
Relevant degree level qualification or A-levels alongside related work experience
Desirable

Energy markets experience
Trade booking and settlements experience
Programming, in particular, Python and an interest in automating reporting
The Location

This position will be based in our client s office in Central Oxford. Sadly, there is no parking on site, although the office can be easily reached using bike or public transport.

This is a part time role (minimum 3-4 hours per day 5 days a week). Some days may require additional time (e.g. during the monthly invoicing process) so flexibility would be ideal.
