We are currently looking to recruit for a Head of Data & Analytics.

As a business-focused expert, you'll understand the data needs and opportunities across the business and inspire forward-thinking. You'll be responsible for the overall performance of the Data & Analytics Services team and play a key role in unlocking the full value of data for the business by creating and executing a roadmap to maximise data capabilities and generate insights that drive profitable growth and productivity. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in fostering a data-driven culture and establishing data as a trusted strategic asset that drives business success and innovation. This is a remote role.

Primary responsibilities:

* Shape and execute the business's data and analytics vision and strategy to achieve measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment across the Group and IT.

* Serve as the lead analytics practitioner, transforming data into insights that guide strategic and tactical business decisions.

* Drive the identification and adoption of data-driven innovations and new sources of trusted data to enable business value, staying updated on trends and encouraging continuous improvement in all practises.

* Collaborate proactively with leaders and departments to understand current and future business goals and translate these into relevant data and analytics solutions.

* Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the business, promoting data literacy and nurturing a unified data community.

* Support the business in establishing measurement frameworks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for driving business performance and ensuring reliable and robust tracking and reporting.

* Establish and maintain trust in data assets through the implementation of governance mechanisms maximising their value, security, and consistency.

* Lead the data and analytics service; ensuring quality delivery, outstanding performance, and consistent application of solutions aligned to customer demands, whilst prioritising team well-being, engagement, and development.

* Develop and maintain service strategy in line with wider IT and business goals and processes; ensuring it is responsive to business-critical incidents and needs, proactive and future-proofed.

* Manage the budget and forecast for the service, including cost recoveries and service charging as well as providing accurate and timely reporting and metrics as required.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Personal criteria:

We are looking for somebody with:

* At least a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field; or extensive business technical experience.

* Proven experience in conducting data analysis and using visualisation tools, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* A background in delivering the design, development and maintenance of data platforms, services, and products.

* A broad understanding of a wide range of strategic data and analytics capabilities, technologies, principles, and methods.

* Familiarity with the Microsoft data and analytics stack and Azure cloud technologies.

* Outstanding problem-solving abilities coupled with a solutions-oriented mindset and exceptional customer service skills.

* A strategic mindset with experience establishing clear, measurable plans, budgets, and targets.

* Excellent business acumen and the ability to connect data and analytics initiatives to business objectives. Construction industry knowledge is desirable.

* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills to engage, influence, and build trust quickly.

* Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders.

* Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team and manage multiple individual and team priorities.

* Ability to adapt and be innovative in approach; continuously looking for opportunities to improve processes.
