Job title: Bid Manager

Location: Frimley, Filton or Weymouth, we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Circa £50,000 - depending on skills & experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee the planning, management and delivery of complex bids to the MoD
  • Plan and deliver activities in collaboration with engineering and other functional leads to agree bid strategy and plan
  • Co-ordinate the bidding team to deliver the agreed project plan
  • Be responsible for the risk and opportunity registers
  • Oversee bid proposal writing
  • Manage required Governance Reviews
  • Manage and communicate bid statuses to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Your skills and experiences:


  • Experience co-ordinating bids and proposals
  • Experience co-ordinating and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Shipley Bid Management Methodologies
  • APMQ / Prince2 or equivalent Project Management qualification

    This is an exciting time to join the team responsible for coordinating and leading business bids to the UK Ministry of Defence. This role sits within the central team and provides opportunities to work on bids in different teams, providing visibility to many areas of BAE Systems and offers opportunities for professional progression.
