Contract Type - Fixed term contract 6 months full time

Location - West Ham Lane, Stratford London

Persona - Agile Working (site, office, and home working)

Salary - Competitive

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate supervisor to join our reactive roofing team on a fixed term basis to support this new team with:

  • Reviewing quotes and specifications submitted by contractors
  • Checking warranties/leases to ensure work is done under guarantee where possible
  • Identifying cases where Section 20 consultations are required and referring such cases to the appropriate team
  • Carrying out site visits to pre/post inspect work
  • Supporting the resolution of complaints relating to roofing repairs

You will be confident to give advice to operatives and contractors on complexed jobs and hard fixes in particular pertaining to Roofing and areas affected by roofing issues and in scrutinising quotes to establish value for money is being achieved.

We are focused on meeting targets, both financial and customer related. We expect our supervisors to have a firm knowledge and be able to actively contribute to ensuring that the Direct Maintenance team’s KPIS are met. You will be able to analyse data and predict outcomes and will give advice on how to put things back on track when needed. Good financial acumen is a must, and you will have had experience managing budgets.

You will be confident in managing contractors, meeting regularly with the commercial team and reporting any relevant information on performance to them.

We expect our supervisors to look have a good understanding of Health and Safety including knowledge of Asbestos, Fire and Hygiene and for them to pass this knowledge on to their teams. Dealing quickly with any breaches or potential problems before they happen.

To be considered for this role candidates will demonstrate and have previous experience in:

  • Managing a large team
  • Clear and Concise written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of roofing issues
  • Ability to deliver KPIs and manage budgets
  • Passion for inclusive working practices
  • Brilliant Customer Service
  • Able to be motivate others to deliver under pressure
  • A good understanding of working at height regulations and requirements
