We’re looking for an SEO Lead to join our fast growing and talented SEO team! 

You may know NEXT, the multi billion pound eCommerce and retail giant, but did you know we are also experiencing rapid growth with our Total Platform business model. We fully manage the websites for Victoria’s Secret (UK & Ireland), REISS, GAP (UK), JoJo Maman Bébé and we are currently in the process of migrating

We have ambitious plans to take on around 4 new Total Platform clients a year and we are on the hunt for a talented SEO Lead to support this and to own the SEO for both Victoria’s Secret and Reiss. 

You will be part of NEXT’s fast growing and highly skilled SEO team. SEO is NEXT’s largest online channel and as the SEO Lead for Victoria’s Secret and Reiss you will be a key member of the team. 

In this role you will cover all aspects of SEO including the day to day running of Victoria’s Secret and Reiss, optimisation and strategy, reporting and managing key stakeholders, assisting with technical bugs/fixes and more. 

We can offer hybrid working with part of the week working at Next Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire and part of the week working remotely.

About the role

  • Fully own Victoria’s Secret and Reiss’s SEO strategy, maximising organic visibility and traffic.
  • Conduct keyword research and gap analysis, proactively identifying opportunities.
  • Maximise ethical link building opportunities and manage Victoria’s Secret and Reiss’s backlink profile.
  • Keep key stakeholders informed, internal and external. 
  • Work closely with wider teams to champion SEO and make sure best practices are met.
  • Work with the wider SEO and marketing team on various projects covering all aspects of SEO and digital marketing.
  • External agency management.
  • Help with migration projects including the mapping of URLs, 301 redirecting from the old to the new. 
  • Support with raising and fixing various bugs and enhancements.
  • Support with the development and implementation of larger technical projects.
  • Help train wider next teams and key stakeholders on the importance of SEO, best practices and how it impacts their remit. 
  • Generate various weekly and monthly reports focusing on key KPIs.  
  • Support and help mentor less experienced members of the team, helping them learn and develop.
  • Direct line management, you will be managing 1 SEO executive 

About you          

  • 5 years SEO experience, within an in-house or agency team.
  • Managing successful SEO projects for ecommerce sites. 
  • Expert in conducting keyword research, competitor analysis, SEO audits and highlighting areas of improvement. 
  • Experience managing large B2C ecommerce sites.
  • Track record of analysing SEO trends and opportunities, providing and implementing recommendations to improve visibility within SERPs.
  • The ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the business and to external stakeholders.
  • External agency management.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Experience of using SEO tools such as SEMRush, Lumar (Deep Crawl), Screaming Frog, Pi Data Metrics, Search Metrics, Ahrefs, Majestic, Search Console and so on. 
  • Experienced in every aspect of SEO, onsite and offsite.  
  • Must have a flexible attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Be up to date with the latest SEO trends like E-E-A-T, CWV and so on.
  • Advanced international SEO experience.
  • A team player.
