We’re looking for a Senior Creative Copywriter to join our Creative Studio team in Manchester city centre. This role will work alongside our Art Directors as a key part of the in-house creative department, Auto Traders internal design agency. The team is made up of talented individuals that bring our podcasts, YouTube channel, web pages, and tone of voice, to life. A creative force – you’ll be a conceptual copywriter who will work from briefs to conceive, develop and produce effective advertising campaigns; amplified by engaging and influential written content.

You’ll focus on providing the written words for advertising campaigns, working alongside an art director who will create the visual imagery. The role of Senior Creative Copywriter will see you produce impactful, original and intelligent work:

  • creating headlines, slogans, catchphrases, straplines and body copy for print advertising
  • writing for web advertising, social media and mobile applications
  • driving our external tone of voice campaign
  • creating scripts for radio and TV commercials
  • capturing what makes us unique and articulating that to our audience

What we're looking for

  • Previous/current experience operating at a Senior or Lead Creative Copywriter working on end-to-end campaigns
  • A proven track record of creating memorable campaigns, preferably with a mix of in-house and agency
  • Strong copywriting experience with the ability to create ideas that have been translated into integrated campaigns for big clients.
  • Experience of pitching ideas to senior stakeholders and being able to bring them along on the journey during idea conceptualisation through to implementation
  • Experience of working on B2C focused campaigns
  • Experience of shaping ideas working with designers and other creatives (including Art Directors)
  • Able to understand the benefits of using data and research to better inform problems and help guide others in these areas alongside dedicated resource.

We're offering a salary between £35,000 and £45,000 dependent on experience and a flexible benefits package to support your health and wellbeing.
